(KATHMANDU: Legal experts have taken exception to the way political forces have recommended names for appointments at the Supreme Court, saying such move threatens independence of judiciary. “This is against the established norms,” constitutional lawyer Bipin Adhikari told The Himalayan Times. According to him, the appointment of judges always depends on the core values of the independence of judiciary. “If political parties choose their favourites for the appointments, it will further deteriorate independence of judiciary,” he said. )
