About the book
Swords and Deviltry by Fritz Leiber tells the origin story of two famous fantasy anti-heroes: Fafhrd, a tall barbarian who leaves his cold mountain home, and the Gray Mouser, a young wizard's student who turns into a clever rogue after a corrupt duke kills his master. The book follows each character's early struggles before they meet in the dangerous city of Lankhmar, where they quickly become best friends and partners in adventure. Through its fast-paced action and dark magic, the story shows how shared tragedy and survival bring these two very different men together as lifelong companions.
