About the book
"A Journey Uphill: The Making of Kathmandu University" by Suresh Raj Sharma is an institutional memoir that details the founding, growth, and challenges of establishing Nepal's first non-government, community-managed university. Written by KU’s founding Vice-Chancellor, the book records the vision, administrative hurdles, political negotiations, and academic philosophies required to build a modern higher education institution in Nepal outside the traditional state framework.
