About the book
This book presents the findings of local governance action research carried out in five municipalities of Nepal: Dharan, Dhulikhel, Vyas, Narayan, and Bhimdutta. It highlights the issues and challenges of local accountability prevalent at the municipal level, and prescribes remedies through capacity-development activities—such as orientations and training on the right to information, transparency, and accountability—for municipal officials.
